ABOUT US
Jill's Dance Studio debuted in 2007 and currently has over one hundred students enrolled. We are very excited to be offering dance classes to Douglas and the surrounding communities, and specialize in providing quality instruction at affordable rates.
With our new and current instructors, Jill's Dance Studio has a combined total of over forty years of experience in dance. We offer classes to children ages 2 and up as well as to adults. Classes offered include Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Cheer, Boys Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Turns Jumps Leaps and Flexibility, Lyrical, Dance Team Ballet, Beginning Cheer (ages 2-5), Creative Movement (ages 2-3), Pointe (invitation only), Million Dollar Babies (ages 4-5) and Dance Team (audition only). We have added the following new classes this year: Beginning Dance Sampler (ages 2-5), Baby Ballet (ages 2-5) and Adult Dance/Exercise. Visit our Class Schedule page to view class times and dates.
At Jill's we can keep you dancing all year 'round! Our studio offers two dance recitals per season as well as summer dance classes and camps. Additionally, the Important Dates section of our Web site conveniently lists activities and their dates to keep you abreast of events throughout the year.
Jill's is also proud to feature our audition-only dance team; the Douglas Dolls. This team instills a sense of camaraderie among the dancers while giving them the opportunity to perform at events within the community.

Jill Haskins - Instructor, Choreographer, Owner
Jill has over twenty five years of dance experience including national competitions for drill team as well as all types of studio dance including tap, jazz and ballet. She's originally from Houston, Texas where she competed nationally while dancing on drill teams since the age of five in jazz, pom, military and high kicks. Jill has also trained in the area of ballroom dancing for over five years.
Jill moved to Phoenix, AZ where she completed her Bachelor's degree in speech and hearing science at Arizona State University. She worked in the Phoenix school districts for over six years as a speech therapist.
Jill was an NFL cheerleader for the 2002 and 2003 football seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. As an NFL cheerleader she gained a lot of experience with community events, volunteer work and summer camps for children.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, quilting, making hair bows and spending time with her husband, five year old son, four, two and one year old daughters.
Grace Herrick - Instructor
Meet Grace Herrick,
She has been involved in dance since she was ten years old. Grace comes from a very large family, she is the second oldest of seven kids, so she has always enjoyed working with kids. This will be Grace's fourth year teaching at Jill's Dance Studio. Grace keeps busy by driving a School Bus for seven years now and is enjoying her second year of having her daughters at home doing on-line schooling. She loves spending weekends with her husband and two daughters at their family cabin and jet skiing at the lake. Grace is very passionate about health and fitness, so she really does enjoy being a dance instructor.
Allegra Wagner - Instructor
Allegra grew up here in Douglas and attended Douglas High School where she participated in varsity cheerleading. She loved being a part of the squad and being involved in the community. She also performed ballet, jazz and tap as a child. Allegra enjoys dance and is excited for this year as the cheer and million dollar babies’ instructor. This is Allegra’s 2nd year teaching at Jill’s Dance studio.
Allegra is a wife and mama of three children. Her two boys and baby girl keep her busy! She adores spending time with her family, traveling, crocheting and being outdoors. Allegra additionally is a preschool teacher. She loves that her job is to positively impact the life of children.
Amy Tate - Instructor
Amy grew up in Douglas, and has chosen to stay and raise her family here as well. She is the mother of four children as well as one foster child, all of whom she home schools. She has worked with kids her whole life doing daycare, foster care and working in the schools. Amy has a very active family who loves to do lots of physical activities such as biking, running, dance and swimming. She cannot wait to share her love of dancing with her classes this year!
